Bad by Michael Jackson

what is the moral stance on listening to a bad persons' music and enjoying it? should we have separation of artist and art? I think the answer to this is: if the artist commits the crime in the here and now and you are aware of it you should stop supporting them as they will receive the benefits of your support but in this case a) michael jackson isn't receiving anything from my listens b) when he recorded this album hopefully he wasn't up to any nasty behaviour in answer to that - brilliant album - man in the mirror was the blowing in the wind of the 80s. Most of the songs to this day hold up very well and don't sound corny (minus i just cant stop loving you). some of the most iconic basslines

Ace of Spades by Motörhead

Excellent metal album got me pumped- some epic guitar solos although questionable (pedo) and bad lyrics on two particular songs

Experimental enough to not be dull and familiar enough to not be annoying Did not expect it to be this good! A modern white band I like. How strange.

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Feb 09 2021

Surprisingly trippy for 1968 thought it would be pure folk but it was real interesting!

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Feb 10 2021

Jack white is a somewhat imperfect singer and maybe that is part of the whole point - I only /really/ liked 3 songs on that album the rest was samey grunge sound note to self : dont like grunge

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Feb 11 2021

Only 4 up tempo 'explosive' songs the rest was kinda basic ngl. I have a love for jazz but some of these were too simple laid back saloon songs. Good to improvise with

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Feb 12 2021

songs would be made perfect if sung by an actual soul singer but dusty brings a little different vibe i guess but part of me wonders why i should listen this and not a black singer she was signed to the same label as Aretha so it makes sense

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Feb 16 2021

Only 4 to say I liked it less than bad. Otherwise fairly faultless just tired of most of the songs except Billie jean still bangs

Pelican West by Haircut 100
Feb 17 2021

Excellent! Also very different and mostly upbeat Jazz rock infusion

Rising Above Bedlam by Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart
Feb 18 2021

Not sure I will be able to make it through the album.. too repetitive to be enjoyable -

Like A Prayer by Madonna
Feb 21 2021

Great pop songs at the beginning however the ballads at the end really let the album down..

Ace of Spades by Motörhead
Feb 22 2021

Young Americans by David Bowie
Feb 23 2021

Feb 24 2021
