1001 Albums Summary

Inspired from Roxy Music. Good English electronic beats, earnest lyrics delivered well. 7/10

Some awesome vocal performance and playing. This is how country and R&B became Rock. Shades of Robert Plant, later Dylan, influence on the Beatles.... The cover of Tutti Frutti doesn't hold up as well as I Gotta Woman. Blue Suede Shoes must have been a revelation and revolution in its' time. Feels in the moment more than 60 years later.

Why didn't Rod stay here? As good as the Stones. This rocks. Great keyboards.

Solid metal, especially 40 years old. Clear influence on Metallica and Slash. Swings and rocks. Great musicians.

Solid, creative hip hop.

I understand his skill and musicianship. Can't understand how much he wants to offend.

Every song is a hit that stands up today. Didn't understand that this is a near perfect pop rock album as I've heard all of these songs for years on radio.

Interesting to listen to the full album. Sad, haunting, beautiful. Clear influences to Wilco & some Pink Floyd 40-50 years earlier.

Who knew? Solid songwriting for the era. Hidden gem lost in the shadow of other Atlantic Stax superstars. He should have been bigger.

Solid with some classic tracks. But not the Eagles best.

New to me. Mix of Talking Heads and European pop of the 80's. Solid songs.
