The Stone Roses
The Stone RosesBeautiful debut album from Baggy/Madchester band The Stone Roses. Immersive soundscapes and interesting chords changes. Reminiscent of The Smiths but with a more psychedelic atmosphere.

Almost perfect record of it wasn’t for Maxwell’s Silver Hammer, which breaks the pace and feel of the record.
Fantastic production and catchy melodies, definitely Wings' best album. Not as varied as RAM or as bold in its creative process as McCartney, but definitely the ultimate blockbuster in Macca's long and winding career post-Beatles.
Hook-driven pop music with a hair metal edge (mainly in guitar riffs and solos), because it was the popular genre at the time, loud drums and big crowd-like back vocals tailored for the arenas don't necessarily make a good album. Bon Jovi's big breakthrough album was a smash hit when it came out, but it really hasn't aged well. A lot of the hits from this album (Livin' On A Prayer, You Give Love A Bad Name) are still played regularly on Classic Rock radio stations nowadays (2021) in my hometown and we're kinda saturated tbh !

Intricate storytelling about the American Dream and bombastic instrumentation. Gorgeous record from beginning to end and the title-track is a masterpiece.

Soul songs with a reggae vibes and a bit of post-grunge thrown in the mix. Undeniably 90's, but Mr. Quaye has a beautiful voice and we get a bit of psychedelic elements in the middle of the record to mix things up. Quite good honestly.
Title-track and Locomotive Breath are instant bangers. The albums works better in vinyl or cassette with each side representing either Aqualung or God lyrical themes respectively. They can rock hard and while the flute might annoy some, it is extremely well played by Mr. Anderson and remains a trademark of Jethro Tull.
Never been a big fan, but this one is much more soulful than his first rock n roll records. He masters his voice and the sound of this record is much better than his others before the army.
