Mask by Bauhaus

love my sad boi music this album feels so cohesive, there's not a song that feels out of place

Doolittle by Pixies

i love the pixies, they were basically the gateway to my punk phase this album is full of bangers

Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
Jul 21 2021

what a banger god i love blues guitar also blues vocals, i think i just love the blues

Fragile by Yes
Jul 22 2021

i don't hate this as much as the rest of you but they could definitely use some editing can hear the influence they had on later prog/psychedelic also i read some of the wikipedia article and they kicked their keyboardist out for not using enough keyboards lmao like almost all prog rock, this would be way more fun live and perhaps also stoned

OK Computer by Radiohead
Jul 23 2021

thom you beautiful weirdo my uncomfortable comfort music

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Jul 26 2021

hold me closer tony danza this song actually drags on a bit, i know it's iconic but i'm not super into it lot of country and gospel influences i remember being into elton john for a while as a kid but i'm really not feeling this album yeah this is too country for me, idk

Moondance by Van Morrison
Jul 27 2021

building your entire career off music invented by black people and being a giant racist, what a familiar combo unfortunately the songwriting is still really good tbh, moondance is iconic even if the original is probably the worst version of it his voice is probably the weakest link here, similarly to bob dylan i actually prefer covers of van morrison songs back half of the album was pretty forgettable

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Jul 29 2021

this definitely isn't hendrix at his best but it still had a few good songs really not into that pyschedelic bit that every 60s artist felt like they had to do

Heroes by David Bowie
Jul 30 2021

not the bowie album i would have picked but pretty solid i can see why the title track is the one that stands out for everyone but there were a couple others i thought were really good especially towards the front half kind of wish we had half stars but rounding down to a 3

Savane by Ali Farka Touré
Aug 02 2021

this kind of slaps very chill

Mask by Bauhaus
Aug 05 2021

love my sad boi music this album feels so cohesive, there's not a song that feels out of place

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Aug 06 2021

i hadn't heard most of these songs and while i think the album is overall solid, i can kind of see why. not much stood out

Sunshine Superman by Donovan
Aug 09 2021

really good musically some of the songs could have been a little shorter/less repetitive season of the witch is a banger, didn't realize he wrote the original sounds like a hugely influential album and probably ahead of its time but not necessarily something i'd come back to

The Yes Album by Yes
Aug 11 2021

not my vibe everything sort of blended together which works for me sometimes but not in this case not a big fan of the vocals i'd heard of yes but never really heard their music and i'm probably not gonna rush out to hear more

Aug 13 2021

this is not at all what i was expecting but i'm into it?? the flute solos are great in the beginning but they probably could have used some editing later on i do love folk tho vocalist is pretty strained

Doolittle by Pixies
Aug 20 2021

i love the pixies, they were basically the gateway to my punk phase this album is full of bangers

Aug 26 2021

this is the most 80s thing that ever 80s'd tainted love is of course a banger everything else went on a big downhill until where did our love go, so i guess i only like them when they're doing synthed-up covers of motown songs their synthed-up motown covers are a lot of fun at least phone died towards the end and honestly i think i'm good to call it there
