Morrison Hotel
The Doors
~Roadhouse blues- hard elvis vibes but what can you expect from the 70s, really love the guitar in it, makes me feel like a cowboy villain, saw an angel number while listening to it.
~Waiting for the sun- a lot more chill compared to the first one but still not that slow, can see myself listening to it while watching the sunset on a cliff, love the constant change in tempo.
~You make me real- love the screams and grunts, too much 70s rock n roll for me, makes me wanna wear more red lipstick and cowboy boots.
~Peace frog- the adlibs in the back give it a fun texture, the rhythm is great but i would've loved a bit more heaviness in the guitar especially the solo.
~Blue sunday***- the slowest one yet, my favorite, the perfect song to listen to on a late night drive with a significant other or to be posted on insta with.
~Ship of fools- love the groove of the guitar in this, on the other hand i don't really like his voice texture.
~Land ho!- a more unconventional sea shanty, his style of singing gives me Stefan Hrusca romanian christmas carol vibes mostly at the start.
~The spy*- femme fatale kind of song, really love the rhythim, the piano is just incredibly used.
~Queen of the highway- a bit forgetable after all the other songs, the piano is the best part of it, gives badass 70s grandma vibes in the best way possible
~Indian summer**- even slower than blue sunday, perfect for a summer Rome brunch, superb instrumental.
~Maggie M'Gill- i like that he sings in a more grunty style but i don't know what else he does to change his singing style but it sounds very weird, would've expected a stronger end to the album.
OVERALL, i would definitely listen a lot to the songs with a *. The album is for sure very good for the 70s. Not really my type of rock but i can get into it in the right mindset. Open to listening to more from them. <3

Emergency On Planet Earth
Jamiroquai
~When you gonna learn?- wasn't expecting the digeridoo at the start, they might be using some sort of saxophone or violin(i don't exactly know what) but it sounds great, the song was good until the didgeridoo part because it just broke the rhythm and sounded very weird.
~Too young to die***- the instrumental puts me in such a groovy and fun mood along with the Dudu Dudu s, definitely put a really big smile on my face, although the song is 6 minutes long it really didn't feel like it.
~Hooked up- a bit repetitive at the end, a lot more instrument solos than singing which I don't. necessarily like but at least they sound fantastic.
~If I like it, I do it- beautiful lyrics, the bongo(?) solo was a really fun touch.
~Music of the mind- slowest song yet, the violin(?) gives it a very beautiful vibe, can't say I'm a fan of 6 minutes of pure instrumental but at least it's well-executed.
~Emergency on Planet Earth*- very beautiful message and because of that may be even one of my favorites.
~Whatever it is, I just can't stop- most forgettable yet, would've liked for something more impactful to happen with the instrumental like a sudden tempo change or a climax of the song, it feels a bit too linear.
~Blow your mind- this just feels so so so insanely dragged out just because they wanted to hit that 8-minute mark, even more so because of that the last 4 minutes are just instrumental, just because it's well done doesn't mean it can automatically stand on its own.
~Revolution 1993**- wasn't expecting the instrumental change especially at the start but I was happily surprised, also has a beautiful message, the woman's voice in the background makes the song even more special, would've definitely preferred it to be a lot shorter but at least it doesn't feel dragged out.
~Didgin' out- the didgeridoo is back for some reason, the only reason I don't completely dislike it is that the album started and ended with it and that brings it some cohesiveness, I don't know why they'd finish the album with an all-instrumental song instead of something more interesting though.
OVERALL whilst it is a pretty cohesive album it's not at all my music taste. still, I was surprised that I didn't dislike it. it has it's high points and low points. I'm sure it will work better for the people that dig this genre a lot more. it's likely, though, that I would listen to it again if I wanna be in a good mood. one thing I can say is that, whilst the lyrics about social problems are pretty surface level, I think that they at least do their job of transmitting the message that they wanted to say.

I quickly gave up on talking about each song both because I enjoyed the album that much that I forgot and because I genuinely liked almost everything about each song. the orchestra instruments go great with the already existing instrumental of the songs elevating them and making them feel brand new. the violing, especially, sounded amazing. even though is don't particularly like to listen to live albums, this one is a definite exception.
