I find it hard to listen to Robert Smith for long periods of time - he's just too overwrought for me. Still, this was an undoubtedly excellent collection of music.
I mean - an album that STARTS with Gimme Shelter and ENDS with You Can't Always Get What You Want? I'm not the world's biggest Stones fan, but this is undeniably just a masterpiece of chewy hard-driving rock.
Incredible. What a journey - through a city, through a mind. Not \"listen to it in the background\" music.
Total sucker for pretty much anything Air / Lamb / Zero7, so this one had me at the get-go. Sad story, groovy tunes.
