The Idiot
Iggy PopAnother album I’m not sure if I’ve ever listened through in full. But what a blinder! Track after track of cool as fuck raw rock. Loved it!

The Beatles are so omnipresent in our culture that I don’t often go back & listen to them. Playing this entire album made me realise, once again, how amazing they were. Even the duff/joke tracks are fantastic. But then I’ve always liked Rocky Raccoon more than most 😁
Despite the apparent iconic nature of this album, I don’t think I’ve ever listened to it before. Unfortunately I can see why. There’s a few tracks that really get going, in that driving, bluesy, rock way, but then there’s a whole load of noodley wanking off that just turns me right off. Not for me.
One of those albums that’s always been present in my life and has obviously influenced a huge number of bands I love, but I haven’t given it the time I should. Listening to it now, it’s fantastic & I really should dive back into their catalogue.

Not my favourite Stones album (that would be Let It Bleed) but still bloody good. Iconic cover too.
Is this one of my favourite Prince albums? Hard to say, but with tracks like Starfish & Coffee, If I Was Your Girlfriend & The Cross, it’s right up there.
One of my all time favourite soul albums.
