Rubber Soul by Beatles
Sep 28 2021

Bunch of men whining about women, who they call girls. Some nice melodies. Michelle dodged a bullet.

The Clash by The Clash
Sep 29 2021

Audio equivalent of a group of lads off their tits at a takeaway, hollering at 3am for the world to hear. Also a breath of fresh air. Finally, some decent fucking music. Big booming drums and interesting lyrics. Song saved: Career Opportunities

Sep 30 2021

Started off as generic indie rock and descended into ugly noise. The last track, Fillmore Jive, surprised by being quite beautiful. Not sure I genuinely liked it or if it was relief the album was ending. Song saved: Fillmore Jive

The Beach Boys Today! by The Beach Boys
Oct 01 2021

Definitive Beach Boys sound but no real stand-out songs. They're all about pining after some girl. After a while, the up-and-down harmonies become as sickly as the lyrics. Just pick a note and stick to it. The most interesting track is the last one, Bull Sessions with Big Daddy, where they chill out and eat fast food and sound like normal humans instead of members of a yodelling cult.
