Time Out
The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Take Five is obviously a banger but the rest of the album didn't really stick with me. It's very pleasant, and the sort of thing that would sound great in the background of a party. Just cool, jazzy vibes! But I think the key issue here is that I just don't get jazz?? No memorable tunes (other than the aforementioned Take Five). I feel bad rating this so low because apparently Dave Brubeck was a very nice man.

Mr. Tambourine Man
The Byrds
(3.5) I'll Feel A Lot Better is one of my favourite songs ever so I went into this album with high hopes. It's a perfect sunny day album, classic 60s jangly guitar pop. Not every track is super memorable, but the summer vibes carry all the way through making it a really sweet listen. Here Without You is sexy as heck!! The cover of We'll Meet Again is bizarre.

Blur
Blur
(4.5) Blur have been one of my favourite bands since I was a teenager, so this album was always going to rank highly. Despite containing some of my favourite Blur songs on the tracklisting (Beetlebum, You're So Great), it's one of those albums I've revisited less than others. This has meant that I'm less familiar with its second half especially, missing gems like Look Inside America and Movin' On, so I'm thrilled to have rediscovered them with fresh ears today. Not for the first time, and far from the last time I'm sure, I find myself weak at the knees for Damon.
