Otis Blue/Otis Redding Sings Soul
Otis Redding
This was the first album of this type of music I've ever listened to, and honestly I really liked it. It's music that my grandparents listen to but it's filled with soul. Everything blends together so well, whether it's the instruments or the vocals everything has it's place. I didn't know "satisfaction" from the rolling stones was a cover and I heard "my girl" on a commercial before. I feel like some of the songs dragged a bit but apart from that I enjoyed it very much and would definitely revisit it. 7.2/10

Patti Smith
I'm surprised I've never heard of her before, especially after reading how much influence she supposedly had on a lot of people. She influenced the punk rock scene with this debut which I can definitely see. She mixes the punk singing style with 70s rock and poetry which is alright. I enjoyed this album but it didn't really stick with me.

Deep Purple
Mesmerizing, mind blowing how this is a live cd, it sounds so good sometimes it sounds like a studio version. The energy is awesome, they improvised some parts and it sounds so natural and fun. This is my first listen to a deep purple record and I enjoyed it, might have to give an actual studio record a listen. The 20 minute version of space truckin was epic, I love how the audience fell silent for a couple seconds at the end because of the history they just witnessed.

Boston
Boston
It took me over a year to finally convince myself to listen to this album because I knew what to expect from this album. I love rock, but Boston is definitely one of my least favorites from the genre. Fundamentally it's good music but for some reason it just dosen't click for me. Although I didn't like this album too much there were some good moments, like the solos. It was the only parts I really enjoyed and was pleasantly surprised how good they were. Apart from that, not my cup of tea
