1001 Albums Summary

Oh AF. The debut blew my mind, hit me emotionally hard. The second a little less so but a majestic release. By The Surburbs I feel little of the vibe that carried the first two albums. The opener is solid, but as the rest it feels like a pastiche of themselves. It's solid and perfectly listenable but really goes nowhere.

I wasn't sure I'd heard it in one sitting before, but I'd heard all the tracks before. It was good but I think I'll try the live version that came as bonus with my cd of 'Live In Leeds'. I love the sound on it, and if Tommy live has that same, beefed up, sound. I imagine it'll be the version I spin.
