The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Jan 06 2022

More big band than expected, so ergo better. Still some noodly jazz, but hey ho. Clearly very good.

Nothing's Shocking by Jane's Addiction
Jan 07 2022

More interesting than expected, less squelchy grunge

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jan 11 2022

Can't complain really.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jan 12 2022

Perhaps faded to elevator music, with wonderful textures. The same could be said for Radiohead though, so worth a relisten!

Jan 14 2022

Perhaps not the best time to listen. Some really interesting chord progressions in the groovier bits, but the vocals somewhat distracted me from such goings on.

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Jan 17 2022

what a lovely little slice of pop - no utter bangers mayhaps, but no complaints.

A Seat at the Table by Solange
Jan 18 2022

some good in there, but did feel a bit kitchen sink at times.

Soul Mining by The The
Jan 19 2022

Groovy, lovely pop, slipping in to the listening lugs so comfortably.

Halcyon Digest by Deerhunter
Jan 20 2022

Brill, listened to it again all over. Deep, dark, and textural.

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Feb 03 2022

Noodly nothingyness, sorry seminal album.
