Overall, I think it’s a great album. My favorite track had to be Living For The City - extremely groovy and had a great story that brings up issues that people are still experiencing today, many years after release of the album itself. Not sure where Stevie draws his inspiration from, but you can hear and even feel elements from this album in pop R&B of the 2000s which is what I grew up with and to be able draw these connections is a testament to how influential this album is.
Never considered myself a fan of metal but I can appreciate the genre because of albums such as this. Going through the lyrics of some of these songs shows them talking about generational topics (such as war pigs with them referencing, I’m assuming, Vietnam), to having an abstract story (Iron Man). Musically, everything from the guitars to the vocals made this album an absolute banger. The simple replay-ability of this album gives it a 5, no contest.
This album, for not being made for a soundtrack, was incredibly soundtrack-like for the first few songs. I enjoyed the 5th track the most as it reminded me of a lot of songs that have come out in the past decade

It’s been a while since I listened to this but from what I remember I wouldn’t mind just having it on in the background if I’m doing something mindless. Some heavy topics, like many other albums we’ll come across.

Classic slow jams. If you’re not step-touchin’ to this I don’t know what’s up!
If pop punk from the 2000s had a great great grandfather, this is it. Enjoyable enough, probably wouldn’t listen to the album again on my own but wouldn’t be upset if it was playing wherever I was.
Didn’t listen as intently as I did with the previous two albums but this was overall a decent album with some good songs to have a lazy Sunday to.
Simply groovy. Had a good time listening to this one
Huge fan of the Sax. Also there’s many different moods in this one, the first song made me want to drink in a bar with some cigars and later in the album it felt like upbeat elevator music. Good time, would listen again.
Overall a great album. Musically it doesn’t sound complex, and vocally he might be lacking when he tries to go higher but it all works. Young created a groovy/chill album that makes you want to hang out on the beach and drink beers with some friends while not having a care in the world.
Reminds me of my days of playing Fall Out 3 and 4. Nostalgia and the fact that it’s pretty catchy give it a solid 4.5 for me.
Awesome album. Can hear the groove/beats that many of the pillars of hip-hop dance (such as locking and popping) that use music like this.
