The Stranger
Billy Joel
This album actually surprised me. I've never been the biggest fan of Billy Joel's music, like, at all, and as such, had very low expectations going into this. I was surprised to find out that it was a super strong album.
Was it great, or particularly mindblowing? No, but the album as a whole was still really good. The vocal delivery and just the vocals themselves from Billy Joel were great, as was the instrumentation and overall arraignment. I found the album to be consistent throughout; there isn't a song that I dislike (too much, that is).
Overall, I'm glad I got the chance to listen to this album. Not great, but very solid.

Who's Next
The Who
I can’t say that this was my favorite album, or anywhere close to it. All things considered, it was a decent listen. Nothing particularly impressed me, but nothing made me want to skip a song, which is a good sign.
The vocal delivery, instrumental, and arrangement all were just okay to me, nothing more. As I said, nothing particularly impressed me, even though I still think this is a decent album and worth giving a shot.

Axis: Bold As Love
Jimi Hendrix
Super interesting album. The instrumentation, specifically the guitar work, was phenomenal (it's Jimi Hendrix, what did you expect?). The basslines also stood out to me, and I thought they fit each song very well.
Seeing the vocal and lyrical prowess of Hendrix on this album was also very fun, and I feel like it's overshadowed by his guitar playing. No matter the case, this album, albeit short and sweet, is certainly solid and worth a listen.

Modern Kosmology
Jane Weaver
One of the more enjoyable and cohesive albums I've ever listened to. The opening track wasn't all that great to me, but the rest of the album was good-to-great. The dreamy vocals mixed with the mostly electronic instrumentals created a unique atmosphere that is a joy to experience. Very reminiscent of indie rock mixed with bedroom pop mixed with electronic. So, so good.
The transitions were also so much fun. Aside from a few, Weaver's transition from track-to-track was nearly perfect, and really helped to tie everything together. Aside from a few very small nitpicks, I greatly enjoyed just about everything this album has to offer.
