Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
May 10 2022

I enjoyed listening to this album there were many songs I had not heard from Stevie wonder. Of course, You are My Sunshine and superstition are classics. And took me on a trip down memory lane. It's been a while since I've heard them. Overall to me it's an okay album I like three out of the 10 songs so about 30%. Not enough to make me purchase the album although I would have purchased singles. I found that sometimes it was hard to know if you had started a new song because so many of them sound alike. I will say that I was delighted to find the song You and I because it's a lovely song and I was not familiar with it.

I love the music on this album, it's what I consider classic rock but the lyrics, not so much. Holy cow could they not vary the subject? Anyway, I think I walked around most of the day singing Janie's got a gun and love in an elevator. It's amazing how I can't remember a phone number or why I came into a room but I can remember the lyrics to these two songs even though I haven't heard them in forever.

If you're not sure what Blues are this is the album for you.

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
May 17 2022

I sure enjoyed this album. I actually listened to it twice and paid more attention to the lyrics on the second listen. I feel like I went to church, attended a protest, had a reality check (especially with the song that had the frappuccino line). I'm glad to be reminded of Nick Cave because I really haven't listened to him much although I knew him from the theme song on Peaky Blinders. I'm definitely going to listen to the rest of his albums. I also really like the vocals with the choir.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
May 18 2022

Led Zeppelin classic rock but so many of the songs on this album sounded so similar it's a little tiresome. I started to listen to this album while at work and doing some paperwork but it was not conducive to getting my work done. I later listened to it while I walked and it was better walking music.I know it's their style and it is classic but I'll just listen to this every decade or so.

Fun music, first time I've heard this band, not sure, I'll need to listen again and to some of their other music. Maybe I'm just not a punk person.
