Siamese Dream
The Smashing PumpkinsThis is the first of what will (hopefully) be great listenings; as this is coming from the guy who thought that 90s alternative was full of butt-rock, cheesy pop-punk, pretentiousness, and Nirvana. Fortunately, this, AIC, Primus, and RATM to an extent have shown me the light. I really enjoyed this album, which was higher than expected. I think that all tracks were strong, although I preferred the heavier tracks as a metalhead. I have noticed a common topic of Corgan (Frontman) singing about depression and dealing with it. Such lyrics include: \"I shall be free from the voices in my head\", and \"I'll betray myself\". Overall, I was really impressed by how all of this was pulled of despite increased conflict within the band, as each track had something unique about it. 9.5/10
