Can tell it’s early 2000’s rap. Lots of west coast influence in the production. Not a huge fan of this album, the shock rap didn’t age particularly well, nor did the liberal use of slurs or violence against women. The main hits off this album still hold up.
Didn’t finish - too goddam long. However, I loved the production on it, the flows were great, and it was a ton of fun. Big fan of the killer mike features. There weren’t any major standout songs and I don’t think I’d constantly bump this though.
Really solid blues album. Maybe it’s because it’s older, but a lot of the songs sounded really similar. I’m also a fan of guitar led blues, and the guitar sounded more like an accent here.
Solid album, but it’s too goddam sad. I don’t have time for this level of sadness, but it was nice to hear Taylor’s newer music. She has evolved immensely from her debut, and I like the more lowkey direction she’s taking.
