My Generation
The Who
it's probably difficult to understand the impact and value of this album at its moment in history. it kinda sounded like what I expected and a quarter of the album are covers. I guess credit is due for the tracks with a more punchy sound that laid the foundation of future genres. I respect and recognize the historical significance. favorite track was an instrumental: the ox.

I wanted to like this, but it's just not my genre. Folky, singer songwriter guitar stuff really has to wow me to hook me.

Belle & Sebastian
Initially, I wasn't feeling it...but it got better. From track 5 on, there were some eclectic instrument choices — trumpet solo, tambourines, strings, electric guitar — that kept it interesting. It was a strange journey and really felt like a throwback pop sound, even some surf rock, but then closes with like a HELLA 90s vibe. Love that.

MTV Unplugged In New York
Nirvana
Usually love Unplugged for what it is, but I dunno what it was about this one that didn't excite me. I know Nirvana is a "thing" but Kurt's vocals sounded a little put-on and less genuine. Everything else was pretty average.
