Siouxsie And The BansheesI looooved this one, might just stop the generator for a week to enjoy this. Siouxsie's voice is sooo hypnotizing, the lyrics are super efficient and the melodies are straight up addictive.

Did not listen to this entirely. Folk is not my lan and this album didn't change that.
Loved this one. Never listened much of Nick Cave's work, but the melodies here are light but never understated and an interesting compliment to Nick's somber delivery. Poor man without his girl.
As many have noted, the lyrics meaning is just incomprehensible (as a non-native english speaker I found myself questioning sometimes if what I was listening was actually english). Other than that, the music is just not interesting, sometimes repetitive, like there's not many ideas coming out from the band and they can only achieve the sound they're proposing at a surface level.
There's no one person who never listened to the singles on this. This was my first time listening to it fully, but I can't help but feel like all the greatest achievements come from Amy- the voice, the bitterness in the lyrics, the melodies - and the weakest sides are on Mark Ronson's back. Mark is never one to go beyond the surface level aesthetically and bolder sounds would be a fair compliment to Amy's qualities.

Tried so many times in the past to get into this (lots of friends regard it as a masterpiece). Could not find this any more boring: the songs go from not grabbing any attention whatsoever to having whatever cool-chill-90s-eletronic vibe that was out there at that time (lacking a good kick to make it any memorable).
Upon first listen, the music nor the performances feel as adventurous as it could be. Overall good rap album with hints of jazz, clearly something very inspiring for other artists. Will re-listen to it as the songs seemed too homogeneous the first time around.
I get the genius, the jazz influences (very interesting), but not really my style. Goes on and on, and though the band is never not creative, I eventually got tired of it.
