1001 Albums Summary

Jack white’s tour de force. The album has all the sass and pizazz of the Detroit shows that he was brought up on. I will say however that in terms of lyrical content, there’s not a whole lot to offer. It’s clear that the chemistry between the two band members has soured quite a bit, and it’s hard to hear someone play songs about themselves. Overall, a great punch in the face or morning coffee kind of album!

Oh boy. the who. My least favorite classic rock band. If I hear "my" in reference to a female figure out of their mouth one more times, I will let them know how I feel about "their generation."

Great rhymes, solid vocals, classic hip hop production. Always a solid listen!

Have listened to this a ton! I like this album a lot actually but only cause I have a nostalgia bias. This album is guilty of a lot of things that many classic rock albums are, including excessive yeahs, transphobic undertones, and guitars that are too loud, the tones, playing and overall band chemistry is amazing! The producer of this knew what they were doing for sure!

You can only go so far on vibes, jamming and stage presence. The flavor's on point though, can't go wrong with Santana's guitar playing. It's like salsa music and little Richard had a baby. Which is cool and super dance-able. But like I said. You can only go so far.

Leftism to the tune of the who? Interesting, engaging, and also something I feel like I've heard a thousand times. But this is "the source" some would say? I don't know, it's close enough where I enjoyed it for what it is.

Transformational album for hip hop and jazz both. People have come close to deifying this album and for good reason. It's great to listen to, cause the verses are clever, the beats are solid, and the instruments are live; including the DJ. Subject matter is a little all over the place is my one criticism of the album, it listens more like an experiment than an album. Overall fire though.
