I like the lyrics and the angsty-ness but it got a bit grating after about 5 songs. I can see why it's on the list as it's genre defining and was of a time

Moody, dark. Rhythmic drumming that you feel in your body. Easy to listen to, I like this one.

At first it really wasn't my thing, but after I listened to a few songs I started to enjoy it more. Very "American" music and lyrics which I suppose is the point, although I don't really see why it was so well acclaimed other than just being an ode to the USA/illinois
