Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Banger, seminal RHCP album. Granted this came out in my junior year of college, so very nostalgic for me. Game changer that came out amidst the grunge movement. Breaking the Girl blew my mind. The opener is a wake up call. Took RHCP from weird funk niche California band to worldwide superstars and set the stage for the next few RHCP albums.

R.E.M.
One of the last REM albums before they really took off. Really don't like End of the World, although it was a huge hit for them - clever but annoying. The One I Love is a favorite of the REM catalog and Finest Worksong is strong from this album. Didn't really fully relate to the REM experience, but this album has a few strong songs, as most REM albums do.

Exodus
Bob Marley & The Wailers
Another seminal album by Bob - on the Mount Rushmore of modern musicians. Bangers left and right. Political viewpoint as relevant today as when written. Don't really know where to begin - turn your lovelight low, might be the weak-point because it is a just a solid song about sex. Close to the perfect album

With The Beatles
Beatles
Ahh, the early Beatles. So "innocent" and young. These first couple albums are not as interesting to me as there are a lot of covers and repeated themes like - You're my girl now so stop talking to other boys; Dancing is fun; I'm in love with you and I wrote a song about it; etc. They are interesting showing the type of songs that they got their chops playing and influenced their original songs. The best thing about all Beatles albums, to me, is that they each capture a moment in the life of the band, and one can easily see how the group evolved and got better and better with each album.
