Damn his voice is raspy. Explores themes of religion and love, seemingly having given up on both by their old age. Very gospel-y songs with the organ in the background and the chord progressions reminiscent of church music. He practically speaks, his voice is amazing and raspy but I don't think it's very much "singing". Remaniscing about past, giving up on "me and you", connecting back to giving up on love, metaphoricially speaking to a past love. Superb bass on this album. The thoughts of a sad, lonely man who's been failed by both love and religion are around every nook and cranny of this album, the instrumental work on this album is wonderful, no musical sound is out of place or there by accident. Solid 6.5/10
