Young Americans
David Bowie
Young Americans: very cool very funky and indeed danceable. My cup of tea of a song. 3/5
Win: Picked up and had a very cool guitar. Sounds like that the arctic monkeys want to be. 2/5
Fascination: knew straight away Itll be cool. Funky guitar! Funky everything! Upbeat. Best song on the album so far. Sax solo!! 3/5
Right: Initial thoughts suggest R&B influence but like soul as well. Just cool and chill. With a relaxing guitar solo. Just a good song. 2/5
Somebody up there likes me:it’s a good song. I don’t think it’s anything special but it’s good. I can’t describe like why it’s good. Just floats but not something I can have on repeat. 1/5
Across the universe: feels more Bowie. Cool guitar. It’s a cool good song. Probably slightly worse than the previous but nothing drastic. 1/5
Can you hear me: feels beatleish and I idk why and I know that’s wrong.Acc know if I close my eyes I hear TBH but better. Sax solo knocks it up one rating 2/5
Fake: it feels like utter perfection.it’s making me feel like dancing. Maybe I will. The riff could just loop for the entire song and it’d still be good.so cool. Best till last 3/5

Let It Be
The Replacements
I will dare: a very bouncy song. And catchy. Has replay ability which I like! 3/5
favourite thing: a bit of me this song. Similar to the last. A very cool sounding album so far. Not good as the last but an all round great song. Would be cool live. 2/5
We’re coming out: good live song maybe. Hectic. Even more my cup of tea.A bit repetitive tho. But I get the appeal. A rip of a guitar solo tho. Oh wow the slow down. 2/5
Tommy gets his tonsils out: I think a good song in isolation. Not a fan of its placement in the album. Hard to honestly rate it. Similar to the last song. Just not as good. Again I like the change in the chorus. Catchy melody. 1/5
Androgynous: wow what a song. So cool. Alone it sounds cool and really fits its place in the album. Slows things down. But the lyrics are so cool. Really fucking cool. On top of that, for the times it’s cool.4/5
Black diamond: back where we left,eh? It’s a good song in its own right. I just feel it hasn’t aged amazingly and is similar to things at the time idk. Sounds similar to things but they may have copied. The guitar rips tho. 1/5
Unsatisfied: idk what to think of this. It’s good. A good change of tempo rlly. It’s alright I guess. Well it is but isn’t amazing. Has replay ability. 2/5
Seen your video: I love the instrumental it isn’t over the top it kinda just lets you jam out. The bass is so cool and the piano is jazzy. It’s chaotic and I tell you that we don’t wanna know. Only downside it didn’t last longer. 3/5
Gary’s got a boner: I wonder if it’s a raging one cause this song is rocking. I’m loving it. The guitar the fast pace. The lyrics and all! What did Gary do wrong??? Idk but he has a great song about him! 3/5
Sixteen blue:a possible coming of age song. It’s cool I think. Idk how to describe but when singers sing like this I don’t personally like. But the lyrics and music is good. The lyrics are acc beautiful 3/5
Answering machine: a very good end to an album. Good lyrics. good guitar and is a nice mixture of what this album is but doesn’t really leave an impact on me. 2/5

Let's Stay Together
Al Green
Let’s stay together: very funky. Just a really chill song that, if it was written about me, I would unconditionally love that person forever. Tells a very cool story and the combination of instruments is very cool and I love the drums. 3/5
La-la for you: I feel for al here. Starts to go bad. But still feels good!!! That piano is very cool and one thing that is repeated throughout this album is the guitar! I just don’t know what it’s going to do. A very good soul song with a continuing story. 3/5
So you’re leaving me today: just a bit of gospel music is what I needed in my life. This song carries on the smoothness of the previous tracks but the vocals, I believe, have been taken to another level. Someone just answer to why she’s leaving him!!!! 3/5
What is this feeling: so the story continues! This track is exceptionally smooth. The initial pace of the drums really do set how laid back it is. I dunno if it’s a trumpet but it just gently breezes through segments in this song and is just lifted by the backing vocals. Very cool. 4/5
Old Time Lovin: the backing vocals really do make this song. The guitar as well really sweeps on nicely with this song. It just carries on the gentle breeze in autumn sweeping the leaves along the ground as an old school caveat glides past you and the Walkman hangs loosely from your pockets! 3/5
I’ve never found a girl: now this is what the album needed! An upbeat-ish song. For me soul music gets repetitive so a song like this after a few of the same really does keep the album listenable and enjoyable. All the instruments lend themselves greatly to his voice but it’s nothing new. In isolation it’s another great song. However, in terms of the album it doesn’t really add much. 2/5
How can you mend a broken heart: the most melancholy song on here but one of the best. You lift and float to another place! The backing vocals really do add a whole new level to this song!It picks up towards the end and his becomes really emotive!! 4/5
Judy: He’s done it!!! He has found someone! A good song and an upbeat one but I don’t think it does anything new! 2/5
It ain’t no fun to me: what a funky way to end off a brilliant and possibly best album yet!!! It’s good and funky and just really
Is a topper to a great album! 3/5

Le Tigre
Le Tigre
Deceptacon: a very cool song that sampled a very cool song. Great lyrics and vocals and a great representation of pop punk. 4/5
Hot Topic: a mantra constantly chanted in the back. Uno what, if it chnaged in the back it would be almost as good as the previous song but it’s not. The vocals do continue greatly and the composition and combinations of instruments is very cool still. 3/5
What’s yr take on casavette: right, tbf I didn’t know who he was before this song so bonus points for education. However, the song just sounds and feels lazy and very cheap and childish. -2/5
The the empty: the guitar is cool and so are the vocals but they don’t do anything different. I’m convinced if you listened to this song without lyrics you wouldn’t be able to understand. Lack of variety in the song again. Just very lazy for a sound with such potential. -1/5
Phanta: ok I like this song. Yes, because it’s about a topic I’m interested in. But it tells a story which means the lyrics are great and the vocals continue their strength. The sound is also pretty cool so and overall half decent song. 2/5
Eau D’bedroom dancing: does something different!!! Even if it is slightly lazy. The guitar is cool and the sound changes so it has to be positive despite the monotony of the song. If you weren’t focused on the song and had it on in the background I fully believe you could listen to it and not even realised it had been on. 0/5
Let’s run: lyrics resonate and I like the attitude. It sounds cool but if I tell u to focus on the guitar riff. That’s the song. That’s it. Nothing else. But for some reason I rlly do like this song. 2/5
My my metro card: kinda went pass me without noticing anything. Not because it was bad but because I enjoyed it. 3/5
Friendship station: a cool but another lazy sound. However this sound is different and fits nicely in the album. 2/5
Slideshow at free university: cool adlibs I guess. But like. What’s with the repetition. Where’s the creativity. Ironic with the songs lyrics. 1/5
Dude yr so crazy:it’s 1am. Not much to say but this song is just shit. Words and a repetitive sound. Where have I heard this??? -3/5
Les and ray: it’s a song so already above the previous one. Vocals let me down. Sounds okish I guess. Just want it to end now. -1/5

461 Ocean Boulevard
Eric Clapton
Motherless children: feels slightly like classic Clapton, a good song with good guitar but all instruments create a great blend. Replay ability for sure. 3/5
Give me strength: a bluesy feel to this song. Nice and slow and one with impeccable guitar once again. One with great replay ability and Clapton’s vocals lend themself to the song. 3/5
Will and hand jive: funky. As an album as a whole all songs up to here blend well. Just sounds good doesn’t it. It’s very catchy. 4/5
Get ready: dunno if it’s just me or if it’s supposed to be this way but it sounds identical to the previous song with more of a reggae style? For that reason. 2/5
I shot the sheriff: a cover of a 5/5 song. This does it justice but just made me want to listen to bob Marley. So 4/5
I can’t hold out: it’s a good song with blues and reggae influence with a good guitar but it just doesn’t do too much to me. 2/5
Please be with me: I nice ballad. Very cool and relaxing song by me Clapton. Love the backing vocals and lyrics. And the guitar is just masterful. 3/5
Let it grow: I think the sound is good but nothing special but I am easily persuaded by a song about just life. 2/5
Steady rollin man: funky: this whole album is perfectly put together. Soemthing my grandad would listen to I believe. Good song. Good guitar ofc. 3/5
Mainline Florida: I’m ill and tired but cool song. 2/5

Appetite For Destruction
Guns N' Roses
Welcome to the jungle: cool guitar and very cool opener. Great vocals and let’s you know what your in for. 4/5
It’s so easy: great guitar as per and instrumental but the vocals and idea isn’t amazing. 3/5
Night train: guitar tips and vocals just top it again. Back to the good stuff. 4/5
Out to get me: proper rock music. Great guitar solo and got me feeling some way. Again great does all sound similar but is good. 4/5
Mr brownstone: funky lyrics and funky guiatr but Not as good unfortunately. 3/5
Paradise city: good everything. Good use of a synthesiser. Love this song. Rocking guitar. Gotta be a 5/5
My Michelle: a misleading song at first. It’s good. Love his vocals on this. Possibly best on the whole album. Great lyrics again. Not a fan how fast it gets.3/5
Think about you:starts fast and is just cool. Bit soppy but we’ll forgive it for sounding cool. 3/5
Sweet child o mine: 5/5
Your crazy: a headbanger of a song a very cool song but sounds similar to the two before sweet child o mine. 3/5
Anything goes: a very cool song and just gets me pumped up!!!! 4/5
Rocket queen: another great song and a great way to end the album. I love the way it switched up slightly and the lyrics give an intimate touch. 4/5
Total:4.3/5

Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables
Dead Kennedys
Decent punk album, it doesn’t really hit my taste and the songs aren’t long enough for me to enjoy
