Really intriguing and interesting sonically, and Bjork's strange ebb and flow cadence always fascinates me. I appreciate the sparse-ness of the album, not overloading the senses. Bjork always does something intentionally different which I've always liked. I need to get me one of them goose dresses. Heirloom was a standout track for me. Kinda difficult to give a rating to a Bjork album first listen.
An hour and a half of this? Never again. I have no love for Bob Dylan, he's talented, but I find him a bit insufferable. Guitar, whiney singing, then a harmonica solo... repeat ad nauseam. Thank the lord he's joined by a band in the back half of the album.
Solid late 80's rock, sounds like it belongs in Rock Band. Yeesh though some of these lyrics make me physically wince in pain. Cool jams though woooooooooooooo!!!!
This absolutely rules. That is all.
Pretty good indie rock, I have never been into them. They have always seemed quite far up their own arse. 3.5/5
I listened to this album once before and don't think I can bring myself to do it again. The amount of cursing is unbearable.
