Makes ears bleed
There were a few times I thought I was listening to Christian folk rock. Not really my style - felt like the type of background music they play when a couple breaks up in those ABC/NBC series dramas.
As a forever Wu-tang fan, this wasn’t my first introduction to this album, and honestly there’s a reason it’s not part of the standard playlist. This is ultimately unforgettable and just uninspiring. It doesn’t really generate a mood in me, nor does any mood I have seek out this album.
Classic. Brings me back to my teenage years. Five stars maybe back then, but not something I could sit through now. I will enjoy a full listen 10 years from now.
I quite enjoyed the first song, mostly because I was taking off over the skyline of New York and it seemed to appropriately match the energy. The entire album felt like a great summer road trip song to me. I’ll remember this one next time it’s warm enough to have the windows down.
