Superunknown
SoundgardenNot sludgy per se but sludgier than I expected. Pleasantly surprised.

It's like part dreamy part epic which I guess describes psychedelica lol but it's not like woooOoooOoo 9 minute jam sessions (not that there's anything wrong with that) it's subtle. Nice harmonies, cool instrumentation
Ohhh I love this album! I bought it twice. I love the slower version of People Everyday, Mama is Always on Stage is my favorite on the album. Good music, good message, just a good vibe all the way through
I bought this album I think in 2000 I think, I was in computer class and the kid next to me asked to borrow it and my best friend came out to me over AIM and said she had a crush on me and I was an ass about it. Anyway
I triiiied. I liked the music itself but the singing was strugglicious and I listen to some bad singers lol idk I just couldnt get into it but still giving it a 3 for musicality. Might try it again and change my mind.
Love Stereolab! They definitely have a recognizable sound and sometimes their songs can start to sound alike but it doesnt bother me because theyre all bangers
Voice is slightly annoying but the music is really good and Im into it. Great album
I like the transitional feel it has like right between hair metal and grunge like right at a time where people didnt have expectations of a genre lol idk anyway it's good
It was missing something lol
Fun musicality, ska adjacent, they have fun with their voices
So I have known this album was a classic. It was much lighter than I expected, idk why I was expecting a heavier sound. Very pleasant.
It's a shame they were essentially one hit wonders at least in the US, this album is actually very good. Like some albums are a collection of songs but this one really moves nicely, it's cohesive and makes sense without being repetitive. Ill probably listen again soon.
