Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
Nov 16 2022

I enjoyed this album. It didn't make me go WOW! But I still enjoyed it. My favourite songs would have to be Cloudy and Scarborough Fair/ Carnticle. I love the magical enchanted forest-y vibe from Scarborough Fair! It transports me to another world.

Step In The Arena by Gang Starr
Nov 17 2022

Was always a fan of old-school hip/hop and this was quintessential old-school rap. Some highlights of the album for me were the lyricism and the pace. My favourite songs were Check the Technique, Love Sick and Who's Gonna Take the Weight.

B-52's by The B-52's
Nov 18 2022

I enjoyed this album a lot more than I expected! The vocals are interesting in a cool way. I love the cadence and way each singer utilises their voice to complement the songs. It feels almost chaotic but a controlled chaos. My favourite songs were 52 Girls, Rock Lobster and There's a Moon in the Sky.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Nov 19 2022

Already love this album so it was fun to revisit! Also made me realise I hadn't actually listened to every song from it! So that was a fun discovery — glad I still found something new. I love Michaels voice and love, love, love the energy of the entire album. Besides from the obvious choices (i.e., the certified hits), my favourites are Liberian Girl, I Just Can't Stop Loving You and Dirty Diana.

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Nov 20 2022

Another album I already love! My favourite songs are Gimme Shelter — just a classic in my opinion; Live With Me — I love the intro and the bass throughout the song; Monkey Man — I love the melody and the 'Bond-esque' intro, also, I live for the little hints of piano in the music break; and You Can't Always Get What You Want — a good sing-along song with a very catchy tune, love the choir in the intro, another classic.

Miriam Makeba by Miriam Makeba
Nov 21 2022

A beautiful album to say the least. The vocals are effortlessly gorgeous with equally amazing music to accompany them. Favourite songs: The Retreat Song, Lakutshn Ilanga, and House of the Rising Sun. I love her voice — it is so smooth and claming and sets the mood of the album perfectly.

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Nov 22 2022

I've been meaning to listen to The Smith's. I really enjoyed this album! Loved the guitar and the vocals. It was more laid back than I was expecting and in the best way possible. Was pleasantly surprised. My Favourite songs: Frankly, Mr. Shankly, Cemetry Gates, Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others and I Know It's Over

Tonight's The Night by Neil Young
Nov 25 2022

I like the 'raw-ness' of his vocals. It's very real and uncensored which makes me feel closer to the music and the experience of listening to it — almost as if I'm listening to it live where it doesn't have to be perfect, just real. Also have to shoutout the lyrics of Borrowed Tune — made me smile. My favourite songs: Speakin' Out and Mellow My Mind

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Nov 27 2022

A nice, calm and refreshing album. I really enjoyed the guitar and picking, as well as the vocal quality. Not an album I would rush to but definitely an album I would put on in the background while painting, colouring or cooking (or any other hands-on task). I will admit that at some point it felt like all the songs melded into one extra long song as they were all very similar and I couldn't really differentiate them. My favourite songs: Road, Pink Moon and Know
