Aerosmithi quit early on this one. didn't like it at all

kinda cheesy, it was alright. i didn't like the singer much but some of the music was cool
this was cool. darklands was a fitting title, it had a nice dark vibe, i liked the moodiness and the parts that were noisier. cool album art april skies was prob the most catchy but i did like the sound on some of the others, like happy when it rains and fall
ok so my issue here is that the story is too like, hamfisted. it's over an hour of just like mostly exposition. the parts that are supposed to be emotional feel fake. i would not want to read a novel written by this dude, he's never heard of "show don't tell" and honestly the fact that the story is about like a character disassociating due to trauma and finding ways to cope with it makes it a little offensive imo that it's treated in such a clumsy way. its giving the same vibes as like when white people write a story about racism the music is fine. there were parts i liked and parts that were kinda boring. pinball wizard was fun. a bit too long
started out really good, first two songs were fun. velouria was mid. after that it was some good, some less good i liked it best when they were fast paced and going crazy and it sounded like they were having fun. lyrics were v weird sometimes but in a good way not a lot of it stuck in my head tbh but i enjoyed the sound and feel of it. a little disappointed after the opening, thought i was going to love this but instead it was just pretty good
i get this was 1997 so maybe this was like fresh at the time for this kind of sound or something but idk it sounded kinda basic to me. like each song was mostly just one or two sounds repeated and there wasn't a lot of progression to it setting sun was pretty good though, that was one of my favorites, it built up and wasn't so stagnant id probably actually like this a lot more than most things that would normally play in like a party environment, so for that context its good, but imo in this listening context it was just fine
no thank you this is music that says nothing and means nothing. can't stand it
i liked this. had a fun energy to it, lyrics were interesting. big contrast to culture club where this felt like it had a lot of life and passion behind it seemed like there was always something new happening with the music and i liked that about it reward i guess was added later but that one was really good might be a 4 if i felt like i would ever listen to it again but tbh i probably won't. that doesn't mean i didn't have a good time tho. close 1st or 2nd favorite so far, with darklands
okay so i am pretty sure this was like, satire? but im not sure what exactly it was satirizing or why. and it wasn't very funny or maybe i just didn't GET it musically it was fine but not great. it felt like it kept almost doing something that i would like, and then stopping and doing something else there were little bits here and there that felt like they could have been a super precursor to black midi but minus most of the stuff that make them cool i didn't ever really dislike this except the lyrics being maybe questionable sometimes but it was mostly mediocre
kinda fun. had heard the hits and they're pretty good. the rest wasn't as good. the style isn't really my thing in general but i don't mind it either
1st song: okay this started out sounding decent and then got boring, old rock annoying voice zzzz 2nd song: excuse me what the FUCK sorry this is mostly p dumb and i don't really enjoy listening " Raped and Freezin' has been called a "hilarious and gorgeously catchy" take on the idea of sexual harassment by PopMatters's Jason Thompson." ?
yoooo this is cool as hell i love the vibes i LOVE the album art. literally in love i want it on a tshirt. the music the drummmss the guitar just overall sound of it, still sounds fresh and like. idk i just get the feeling that the people who were listening to this in 1990 were cooler than everyone else. cooler than anyone ever will be. this is peak cool. even just the first song goes through so many different sounds and they all sound good. its always doing something new. both vocalists are great the part in tunic where it slows down and everything is kinda faint and echo-y with the feedback or whatever it is mmmmmm and then it comes back in ahh give me more of that kool thing goes hard. the drums the drums the drums mote has more of that thing where it kinda devolves into this ocean of noise where it's flowing and pulsing and i love it tbh my friend goo and disappearer are just decent. mildred pierce is kinda nuts tho. the last three are solid. enjoyed. but those opening songs are sooo good new favorite easily
i quit early on this one. didn't like it at all
this wasn't, like. bad. but i wasn't really into it lyrics seemed extremely trite and they bothered me so i tried to ignore them. some of the music was okay tho. amy was decent
