Elephant Mountain by The Youngbloods
Dec 19 2022

While I wouldn't put it on the worst albums ever, it certainly was not memorable. No song stood out and the flow seemed disjointed. Unless-of-course the theme was to start with UK folk, then sail across the Atlantic with Francis Drake, to then end up in the Mid-Atlantic states dancing through a field of flowers only to end up having a cocktail with Mr. Roper at the Regal Beagle.

Risque by CHIC
Dec 20 2022

Would like to give a 3.5; Iconic for the amount of times it's been sampled. You can also hear a lot of influence that it must have had on current R&B artists. However, too much of the same guitar accents between Good Times and My Forbidden Lover for my taste of a great album.

Being There by Wilco
Dec 22 2022

Good second album that I never really listened to before. While listening to their discography I've always found I gravitated towards the middle of their catalog.

Closer by Joy Division
Jan 16 2023

Was not a fan of this album. Repetitive tracks with the same horrible monotone vocals.

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
Jan 17 2023

I can see the appeal for the time and the audience studios were trying to sell to. However, it was over produced with the classic big band approach. It did not incorporate the gospel roots he set in his earlier albums. Album was OK, but not the authentic Ray Charles I prefer.

Good album as they started to push in a slightly new direction. My favorite album of theirs is Speaking in Tongues.
