This album sounded less a mess to my ears. Track 1 left me thinking “how long has this guitar riff been going?” Track 2 had me thinking “these lyrics are terrible - oh wait cool synth!” I liked track 3! The vibes were chill and the vocal was fun, though pretty basic. Was this album groundbreaking in some strange way? Maybe just being one of Bowie’s earlier albums? I don’t get why it’s on this list, not sure if I will continue listening.

Loved this!! The vocals really grew on me

FANTASTIC! Wary of giving an album 5 stars so early in the game, but I really loved this album. Each song has a unique feel, but every one is organic, soulful, and heartfelt. Loved the bass lines. Beautiful.

I think there are Bjork moments that are cool! But to my ears, they are so disjointed. As I listen, I'm constantly taken out of the experience to wonder "Huh! That was a weird choice, do I even like that?" For me, this sort of thinking *about* the piece doesn't leave much room for getting *immersed* in the piece. But I guess I do like a lot of choices, and I think it's pretty cool for being so experimental. Star ratings are not so nuanced as to capture my feelings, so I shall give 3 stars.
