1001 Albums Summary

Like the electronic instrumentals, solid production. Vocals are generally ok, works better with certain tracks. I would say that it is decent. Not fantastic, but solid and enjoyable. Repetitive at times, but like a good repetitive. Much more enjoyed the second half of the album. 4th Dimensional Transition is my favorite track. 3.25/5

Perfect mix of pop, funk, and rock of the era. I’ve only listened to Prince’s hits and Purple Rain in full. This made me realize I need much more Prince in my life! 5/5

These guys are talented, no doubt. However I’m not sure if I can truly get down with nearly every song having to be this “epic” experience. I enjoy the mixture of rock and electronic music, but I would love at least a few more straightforward tracks. Don’t get me wrong, I can enjoy epic and spacey songs, but having that constantly present does not make for the best time, at least for me. Like I said though, the musicianship is great on this album. 3/5

Fantastic album. Love all the musicianship in this. Makes me want to seek out even more Latin Jazz. Absolutely enjoyable listen all the way through! 5/5

Solid psych rock from that era. Our every Clapton project, I’ve definitely preferred cream. Really good songs present on this album, even though at times the sound may be repetitive. Even though I’ve soured on Eric Clapton in recent years, can’t deny that this a very good album. 3/5
