Despite the enormous reputation of this album, it was better than expected. The artistic creativity behind the song-writing is astounding; as is the fact it was made in 1973. The only gripe I could possibly find is that a few of the songs are extremely similar, which makes a few of them sink below the others. Overall: a true work of art.

Is This It by The Strokes
Mar 02 2023

Good for what it is. Hard to imagine it being very influential.

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
Mar 03 2023

the second half of the album was pretty good

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Mar 06 2023

I noticed that I liked the less popular songs on the album.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Apr 11 2023

I liked the first song, the rest were cool but a bit messy

Rocks by Aerosmith
Apr 13 2023

Instrumentality and performance are very high level, but the lyrics and melodies are seemingly directionless for more than half of the album. The guitar is very American and the vocals are a bit shrill.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Apr 14 2023

This album required 3 listens to appreciate. The 60's influence is psychedelic and groovy; the sort of music my grandfather grew up with. Very well done I kept half the album on Spotify.
