Synchronicity by The Police
Mar 03 2023

A great soft rock album with beautiful vocals and a dreamy 80s musicianship. It is filled with groovy beats and catchy hooks. The song "Every Breath You Take" is brilliant and is quite clear why it is the most popular song on this album. It features a moving vocal performance with backing vocals that send shivers down my spine every time I hear the song. The title track is also one of my favourites on this record. It also has one of the most energetic songs with driving drums and synths all backing the powerful vocals. Overall a really solid 80s rock album!

Station To Station by David Bowie
Apr 25 2023

Station To Station by David Bowie is an experimental funky masterpiece. This album is one of my favourite from Bowie. Songs sound funky, discoesque. Station to station starts of ambient sounds but slowly transforms into a progressive funk sound. Golden years is a 80s pop classic, to me it actually sounds quite calming and nostalgic. Word on a wing hits you with beautiful piano melodies and iconic vocals by D. Bowie. The song has a level of ballad quality to it. TVC15 is an art-funk hit. The vocal melodies are incredible in this song. And at the end when the sax hits is just pure ear honey. Stay is a groovy bop, continuing to evolve the funkiness of this whole record. The guitar licks on here are amazing to listen to and does not get old. The last song is my least favorite, but I do think it is a decent closer overall.
