Since I Left You
The AvalanchesNever heard of these guys before this recommendation--first impression is unique sound, good rhythm, got my foot bouncing. They lean heavily on layering in ambient people chatting & conversation sounds

I've never been a big early Beatles fan. I always feel a little guilty about it, made it halfway through this album and was just reminded that I much prefer their druggy stuff to their poppy stuff.
Like it, but it kinda feels like something I will enjoy a lot more in a future phase of my life. The abnormal time is cool and I like the lyrics, the vocals might take some getting used to haha
First album here I was super excited to see! I can't love Hendrix enough, and this album is just quintessential Hendrix. Listened to this with Frida in the living room over the speakers and just vibed! Absolutely the Zeus of my guitar pantheon.
I feel guilty for not knowing the first thing about Wu-Tang Clan, except their reputation. This was probably my first serious impression of them and it was very solid haha.
I have to say I am not a big Dead fan. So I went into this album not expecting much but was genuinely sold on it after giving it a chance and skipping some more repetitive tracks. I kinda put them in the CSN and America category in my mind: classic, light, Americana.
Discovered an artist!! Loved getting to know the album
