Station to Station: the buildup has that minor key eerie-edged groove, but had me hooked by the time the bassline came in. It's got a clear ambience, not necessarily one I would call easy listening with the aforementioned edge to the overall sound and the haunting/harrowing charged vocals. OH the pickup and keys! I'm digging it! Magic! (after 5.5 minutes, everything changes). After the big stuff, it's mainly just a nice vibe. Golden Years: Almost giving me a pre-steely dan feel with a european classic rock vocalist, up until the chorus, where it gets a little more energetic. A nice groove. Word on a Wing: I knew I'd like it right from the start. I loved the intro, and how the electric guitar seemed far away like a classic rock ballad, and the lyrics plus the instrumentation and melody in general, slappin. it kinda makes me happy??? least favorite part: bridge. im not ready to shake the scheme of things bud. Really liked the keys though. TVC15: the vocalization is .... interesting in the intro, but I was immediately head bopping, so we'll call it a win. I do love the vocals in the verse though. Stay: I like the guitar, I like the synchronization, the solo is dope, the verses are tight, it's a groovy track. wouldn't be surprised if this was seen as the standout of the album/ep. Wild is the Wind: a more mellow, melancholy, thoughtful piece, a little drawn on as are the other album's tracks. I do like it for sure.
