Back In Black by AC/DC

Notes: - Iconic stadium rock - If "Rock 'n' Roll" was a sound - Iconic 80s sound - Cultural, social, political context of the Album; would've been seen as really innovating/refreshing the rock genre - Music context; really opened up/progressed rock n roll / metal - Tapped my foot and/or nodded my head to most songs - Fav song: You Shook Me All Night Long

Buffalo Springfield Again by Buffalo Springfield
May 16 2023

Starts out insanely strong but lost me a bit in the middle and it disappeared into the background; went back to re-listen. On re-listen, and paying attention - very good. Very blues feeling. Another important album in the development of music; specifically rock 'n' roll. Still that strong country sound/roots (Bluebird).

Dear Science by TV On The Radio

Golden Age best song, followed strongly by Family Tree. Does not feel cohesive? Or rather, lack of a consistent sound throughout the album? Well made music from talented musicians that sounds very interesting but critiqing as a whole, it's just okay. Not what I'd listen to on the daily. Seeds is their much more cohesive album. Need to listen to their other albums and see what they're like.

Junkyard by The Birthday Party

Fascinating listening. Only a few that I actively "like". But most are good. Very interesting to listen to this in the musical context of what came after these guys.
