so ahead of its time. i love how noisy this album is. it is to noise rock, punk, and no wave (among other genres) what helter skelter was to heavy metal. sister ray is one of my fav 10+ minute songs ever

cool album! i wish i liked it more (i found the sound to get somewhat monotonous :/) cause the few d'angelo songs i heard prior to this are amazing but this is still some well made sensual neo-soul. lady is EASILY my favourite song on it
