Break On Through (To The Other Side) known from Forrest Gump. Most eye-catching song: Alabama Song (Whisky Bar) for its folklore-like beat. All in all, a masterpiece that is easy to listen to despite its occasional craziness.

Nice flow, but overrated in general. The funky sound of the album has worn out by excessive air play of some songs on the radio, notably Otherside and Californication. Even the ballads don’t really stand out against the other songs, so the overall impression is quite unexciting. Mastering is also not good with way too much emphasis on treble and missing bass fundamentals.

Very interesting sound! Quite versatile in combining ballads, humor and standard songs. The electric piano gives a very distinct and warm tonality.

Overall a very good jazz album with nice songs to listen to, though it does get a bit exhausting towards the middle.
