1001 Albums Summary

The sound mixing is rough but it creates a more intense atmosphere, fitting to having an opener like "Sunday Bloody Sunday". I lost focus halfway in, but still pleasant.

Urban loneliness and regrets fill the soundscape of this album, and it is executed perfectly. It is easily one of Bowie's best project.

The ambient second half was a major surprise, and a good one at that. Definitely has led me to listen the album again.

An astonishing experience. The free play sections are awesome, and the album closer just takes my breath away.

Beautiful vocal melodies, excellent production; although some songs are repetitive, most of them are earcandy, very enjoyable to listen to and dance to.

Excellent rhythms, fitting voice style, and pure fun.

Maybe I just don't vibe with jazz that much, or I wasn't paying attention.

While the title track is undeniably a banger, it is all rather forgettable and lacking in oomph, particularly the beats and the flow in each and every song.

Needs more re-listening.

Definitely filled with vitality, but I wouldn't be able to remember a single note from it.
