Hadn't heard most of these songs before - in fact I only know I had heard one or two. They all sound pretty similar to one another lol. I did like the pace and mild rock - reminds me of some of Fall Out Boys' subtler songs, which I liked. Good first album to start with.

Dummy by Portishead

Not my style at all. Wasn't a particularly huge fan. Besides a few music styles, I can find enjoyment/interest in almost anything, but this is apparently not one of them. Did not enjoy it at all. Most songs either have some impressive vocals or musicians, a fun/entertaining story, a catchy beat, or a combination - this had none of those.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Sep 20 2023

Amazing. Folsom Prison Blues is one of my favorite songs of all time. I had not heard all of these, but I am glad I have now. Probably a 4.5 our of 5 stars in reality, because it is not as deep (relating to the number of all time favorites of mine) as other albums, but this one is really good. Best so far.

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel

I really liked it. Scarborough fair was quirky but fun. Homeward Bound was my favorite song on the album, though I had never heard it before. Was not a fan of the Silent Night/7 o'clock News song, but overall I enjoyed the album. 4/5

Kinda fun. I'm not particularly a fan of jazz for some reasons - seems chaotic, each song is generally the same, and there are no words. Other than the 1980's electric guitar and drums, I am not typically as impressed/interested in the music of songs but more the voice. So it was not bad for ability's sake like 1996 pop album a few days ago, just not something I am personally interested in. So my rating is not a hit against the artist or album, just the style as a whole. 2/5

That's The Way Of The World by Earth, Wind & Fire

It was fun! Had a few songs I had heard before, and it was enjoyable to hear other songs on the album. It's no Johnny Cash, but its my second favorite thus far. 4/5

16 Lovers Lane by The Go-Betweens

Not bad. Kinda boring. Just felt like it was pretty bland - nothing stood out as something to stay with me very long. 2/5
