1001 Albums Summary

Although Radiohead would come to be known for their more experimental and transcendent albums following it, The Bends is itself an engaging and substantially transcendent album. Radiohead just has a knack for getting you to feel something so deeply that you wouldn't expect to resonate so beautifully. The album is an incredibly cohesive project, and the tracks all flows together flawlessly. The guitar work and vocals are some of the finest of Britpop too. Great album to be gloomy to, but also great to just think and to vibe to. Toys in the Attics is about as quintessential as classic rock gets. Although there aren't any there truly fantastic songs until the end, most of them are straight classics. They hit just the right sort of fun rock-and-roll itch that classic rock tends to fall short of. Fun all the way through, and a great vibe.
