1001 Albums Summary

Classic album, the style of hip-hop I really like, mostly drum and bass and constant rhymes. Not my favorite style -- less jazzy than A Tribe Called Quest. The intro puts you right into a setting, then NY State of Mind - Life's A Bitch - The World Is Yours is a 3 track combo that is hard to top. Halftime not so memorable. Sittin' in da Park is smooth and fun. I wanted an actual Q-tip verse on One Love but he just did the hook. One Time 4 Your Mind, seemed like an interlude that was longer. Represent is one of those classic sounds I like. I like the keys and the bounce. Same good feel on the closer.

Really easy listen, ended up listening twice and will probably keep coming back every once in a while. Some really good tracks, but nothing REALLY stood out to me. Except Changes, which was cool to find out that it's originally Black Sabbath and not whoever did the theme for Big Mouth.

I only listened to like half of this but i was really liking what i was hearing. Very theatrical and moody, but also upbeat at times. Will have to continue with the rest.

I listened to like half of this -- had heard some of those songs before. I don't like frampton too much, it seems.

I definitely listened to a few of these songs and they were good. It's Bob Marley, I feel like I didn't have to try too hard. bad time to get back at it but i am curious about what we have next.
