Didn't plan on actually writing notes here, but got to Sweetest Perfection and caught myself surprised by how much I was enjoying the first couple tracks. Then Personal Jesus punched me in the throat. Felt very out of place but really liked the sound; continually layers in instrumentation, which I'm always a big sucker for. Mixing - particularly the layering and fading is fucking crazy. Everything is really clear IMO, but still a ton of dimension to seek out. Idk why I like Blue Dress so much. Vocals and writing remind me of the Smiths? lmao Spotify randomized into a Smiths song at the end of the album
