1001 Albums Summary

Amazing Album that I can now see why helped kick-start one of my favourite genres. Standouts are: Paranoid, Planet Caravan, Hand of Doom, Fairies Wear Boots.

Never truly got into Maiden growing up so it was fascinating to hear the pre-Dickinson beginnings of the band. A lot more 80's hair metal influence in their debut than I would've thought but I've liked the outcome. Personal favorites are 'Remember Tomorrow', 'Running Free' and 'Transylvania'.

Favourites are Slave Driver, Stop That Train, Kinky Reggae & No More Trouble.

refreshing to hear some vocals that aren't the squeaky clean standard of today. The raw synths complement a great personal emotional foray from the remnants of Joy Division. Standouts are The Perfect kiss, This Time of Night, Elegia and my personal favourite - Sooner Than You Think.

Have never been a huge MGMT fan myself so was welcome to give this album, that I've heard several singles from over the years, a shot. There's a lot of interesting ideas with each track while at the same time being very approachable (the main single tracks in particular), but while I like a bit of the songs here and I respect the album now I've had a good listen I still feel like they aren't my personal thing. Standouts: Time to pretend, Electric Feel, Kids, Pieces of What, Of Moons, Birds & Monsters. Personal Favourite: Of Moons, Birds & Monsters
