Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Oct 06 2023

Excellent album with some very iconic songs. However, it can get very intense at times. I tried listening to it first thing in the morning and in an afternoon lull, and it really didn't hit the mood of calm contemplation. But when I was feeling punchy, it was pretty great. Still probably a little to head-bangy at times for my taste.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Oct 09 2023

This is quintessential 1960's rolling stones The opening with Paint it Black in the US version is widely different with Mother's Little Helper in the UK version. I think I like the UK version better.

That's The Way Of The World by Earth, Wind & Fire
Oct 10 2023

Sooo much soul! This is perfect for the end of the work day or right after work, maybe with an outdoor fizzy cocktail. I tried listening in the morning, and it was just to not right to get the day started. Almost every track I loved from the start. I thought from the start I'd hate the track Yearnin' Learnin', but it won me over.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Oct 11 2023

I can tell how excellent this is. The complexity of music, the amount I want to headbang along to it for some songs, and just sink into the couch for others. But it's been played so much that I can't help but be reminded of all the 70s-set movies (both good and bad) its songs are featured in. It distracts from the music.
