Space Ritual by Hawkwind

Overall, a mixed bag of an album. The start is very odd production wise, lead guitar is way too quiet and the vocals sound drowned out. However, it does pick up during the second half. The longer songs are enjoyable but are interrupted by shorter, out of place, songs. The continuity of the album is perfect at times, seamlessly going from one song to the next, but it tends to get broken up by shorter more experimental tracks. Final Thoughts: Not bad, but not great. forgettable. Genre: Space Rock, 1973. Rating: 3/5

Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine
Oct 07 2023

A pretty consistent album from front to back. A good mix of groove, aggression, and build-ups. The slow moments work well with the faster ones. The bass and drums being higher in the mix create a powerful atmosphere, with the vocals and guitar adding into it. Though a couple songs do sound same-y. Final Thoughts: Great album, though wouldn't go out of my way for a re-listen. Genre: Nu-Metal/Rap Metal, 1992. Rating: 4.3/5

Back to Mystery City by Hanoi Rocks
Oct 08 2023

Extremely 80's. a short but pleasant album. catchy riffs and nice vocals. Nothing to note though there is a couple moments where the instrumentation feels off. It also doesn't have any tracks that stand out. Final Thoughts: Good for background noise. Genre: Glam Rock, 1983. Rating: 3.4/5

Electric by The Cult
Oct 09 2023

Wasn't very interested in this album, it has some good energy and the vocals are not bad, but it doesn't have anything to make it more than a generic British rock album. Final thoughts: Eh. Generic. Genre: Hard rock, 1987. Rating: 3.1/5

Boston by Boston
Oct 10 2023

An album which is very groovy, just a feelgood album through and through. Amazing smart with a fairly good middle and end. Nothing major in terms of problems. really good sound production for the 70's. Final thoughts: Really good, from start to end. Genre: Rock, 1976. Rating: 4.4/5
