Murmur by R.E.M.
Oct 06 2023

This was a good listen. More subdued than later R.E.M. They seem to never go back to this style of american folk rock and alternative blend.

What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Oct 09 2023

There is a reason this album is iconic. It's cohesive and addresses issues that were plaguing society then, and even more so now. This should be an album that everyone listens to regularly.

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Oct 10 2023

Elliot Smith is a good listen when you're alone on a rainy summer/winter day. You can tell why this was so popular and edgy when I was in high school. Lots of friends became one man show acoustic emo guys after this stuff started coming out. It's good, but it has its place for sure.

Oct 11 2023

Coming back to this after hearing the rest of Pink Floyd's work is interesting. I am definitely not into Pink Floyd as much as I was when I was younger, Breathe is still one of the best psyc rock songs ever made. I think I just listened to this too much when I was younger to feel like it's higher than 3 stars.

Marquee Moon by Television
Oct 13 2023

I really liked this, crazy how it came out way before this sound was more mainstream.

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Oct 17 2023

Can't believe how much Elliott Smith is on this list.

Low by David Bowie
Oct 18 2023
Truth by Jeff Beck
Oct 20 2023

Didn't know #1 Shapes of Things was Jeff Beck, it's been used in tons of different media and games. This album is a great listen.

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Oct 24 2023

Not sure if this was an album i "needed to hear" before i die. Probably would have been better listening to a FM greatest hits compilation.

Porcupine by Echo And The Bunnymen
Oct 26 2023

Really good stuff.

Darklands by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Oct 27 2023
Purple Rain by Prince
Nov 01 2023

Pretty good, can see why it's iconic. Just not really my style anymore.

Songs From A Room by Leonard Cohen
Nov 03 2023

This was decent, I have a hard time getting into old stuff that is based in poetry. That being said he had a lot of good things to say and did it well.

Cut by The Slits
Nov 10 2023

Pretty good, it's amazing how many of these old albums have so much influence after the fact. Never would have known until now.

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Nov 13 2023

I dont understand why so much weird junk is on this list.
