Transformer by Lou Reed
Oct 07 2023

Perfect day, perfect song. Viscous is good. Love the raw early indie rock sound. Hangin’ round is fun. Tuba on makeup is good addition. I like satellite of love.

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Oct 08 2023

Electronic, poppy Reminds me of sylvan esso or thao Nguyen. Precursor, but I like those artists a little better. I think my favorite track was little shadow.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Oct 09 2023

Least favorite nirvana album starts off with least favorite nirvana song, mostly due to overplay. That being said, it’s got pretty interesting/enigmatic lyrics for a chart topper. Still a great album though. Great blend of melodic pop and punk. Polly, on a plain, drain you are favs. Since they always have that raw edge, I think I tend toward their melodic stuff the most.

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Oct 10 2023

Great guitar jams. Maybe I should look deeper, but lyrics strike me as trying too hard to be deep. Hear some Robert Johnson influence near the end. Plus a Scottish tune?

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Oct 11 2023

First rock inspired track is amazing. One of the better renditions of though the grapevine. Afterwards, it’s good, but becomes more traditional soul/r&b. Ok, it’s great. Instrumentation is on point, Melodie’s are fantastic.

Very by Pet Shop Boys
Oct 13 2023

Good album, just not my genre.

Queen Of Denmark by John Grant
Oct 15 2023

I thought it was boring at first, but then it grew on me as I went along. Particularly chicken bones and queen of Denmark.

Play by Moby
Oct 16 2023

Great album, but I think the awesome selection of samples does a lot of the heavy lifting

Teen Dream by Beach House
Oct 17 2023

Mostly boring to me. Vocal quality is a little whiny. Music is pretty repetitive. I did like Norway for being dissonant.
