1001 Albums Summary

Interesting album, definitely shows the time around it was made. There's a saxophone in the Neukoln song that sounds just like a sax on a pink floyd track...like just like it. Some kind of experimental sounding stuff, a little disco-y on some songs. Nothing really makes me go wow, Heroes is good. V-2 Schneider is pretty fun...

had some good songs...radio free europe, perfect circle, sitting still...and nothing so bad i wanted to stop.

has some catchy songs, also some pretty goofy stuff and attempts to be sexy that come off as pretty cheesy. also kinda goes in some experimental directions/funky sounds, but unlike the david bowie record it seems to still stay pretty musical. it all sounds very exact and purposeful, which matches what i know of prince's eye for detail. don't think i'll add it to my playlists, even tho i like some of prince's output, and he's a crazy good musician.

it's alright. not going in any playlists, but it's alright to listen to and parts of it are kind of nostalgic (tho not necessarily for this band, just the style).
